Proper stupid movie but it's fun to watch. The tank battle is awesome I must see.
The years between "The Guns of Navaronne" and "Patton" saw the release of a number of World War II epics and would-be epics, some good and some, like "Anzio", pathetic. "The Battle of the Bulge" is about in the middle, with nothing much to recommend it and no outrageous flaws.
Despite impressive battle scenes, and an all-star cast(Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, Telly Savalas, Robert Ryan, Robert Shaw, among others) this World War II adventure based on the true story is too bloated and long to succeed. Plot details how American forces in France were waiting to enter Germany, and end the war, when the Nazis launch a surprise counter-offensive that catches the allies off guard in the late 1944 winter.
