Helpful.
The book has a very good approach to exposing some of the more interesting facets of php programming, but the remote site that is used in many of the examples (friendsofed.com) just ain't there, so you have to kluge something together to get the code to work in a fashion that was obviously not intended.
I've been programming with php for a few years now and thought I'd learn object oriented programming just in case it was better than procedural coding. This book showed me that OOP has a few good points, but really, there is no real reason to change to making all your scripts OOP unless your work requires it.
